Tyler Farmen

Tyler Farmen was born in Washington, CT in 1982. He received a BA of Industrial Design from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY in 2004. Tyler lived and worked as a designer in New York until 2006, when he moved back to Connecticut, and is currently teaching K-5 Art classes and working on various creative projects. Tyler has a wide range of work from painting and sculpture to graphics and fashion, and his client list includes names such as DKNY and Perrier Jouet. His ambition is to make people approach what they look at every day with new value.

Q&A

What motivates you? My family, friends, and surroundings. Any wise words of advice? Don’t hesitate or assume, and always put your keys, wallet, and phone in the same place. Good topics for party talk? The fish that I just caught. Favorite things to do when not creating? Anything outdoors. Flying remote control helicopters indoors. What would the ultimate job be? When no matter how hard you work it just doesn’t seem like a job.
