I'm from the north of England, but now live with my family in Berlin. I trained in Leeds after spells of living in Scotland, Japan and France doing a variety of non-design jobs with varying degrees of interest and success. I've been a freelance illustrator for about three years now. I'm still learning.

Q&A

What motivates you? Fear of making boring, uninspired work. Any wise words of advice? Step away from the computer every now and again. Good topics for party talk? Cars, trains, films with cars, films with trains. I would be happy at least. Favorite things to do when not creating? Either spending time with my daughter or watching trains from our balcony. Ideally both at the same time. What would the ultimate job be? A New Yorker cover - I can dream.
