Jenny Bowers

Jenny is one-tenth of the UK-based illustration collective Peepshow. She joined in 2003 has worked collaboratively with Peepshow members and individually on commercial and self-initiated projects ever since.

Her work all starts out on paper, with scissors, paint, glue and pencils all getting involved. Her clients are many and varied, encompassing editorial, packaging illustration, and textile design. Clients include Kate Spade, Roxy, Elle Decoration, The Guardian, Howies, Samsung, Waitrose and the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Q&A

What motivates you? Enjoying what I do, having happy clients. Feeling as though I have put in a good day's work. Any wise words of advice? To steal the sage words of Anthony Burrill, 'Work Hard and Be Nice to People.' Good topics for party talk? The cheeseboard, the weather, "The Wire," and the weekend. Favorite things to do when not creating? Pottering in my garden, playing with my little boy and lighting a good log fire. What would the ultimate job be? Long deadline, nice budget and open brief from a compliant client. Too much to ask?
