AOL was the proud main sponsor of the Whitney Museum of American Art’s 2010 Gala. One of the most high-profile, exciting, and influential events of the year, guests from the worlds of art, fashion, media, business and entertainment came together to support the latest achievements of this great American institution. The 2010 Gala kicked off the Whitney’s Campaign for the Future to build a new, Renzo Piano-designed museum in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. The Whitney was excited to have AOL on site at the Gala and Studio Party, where AOL created an opportunity for the attendees to interact with an amazing art installation by AOL Artist, Daniel Hirschmann.
The Whitney infuses, informs and betters the lives of its audiences by providing direct access to artists, the artistic process, and the unique ways artists look at the world, think, invent, imagine, create, share and take risks. Through initiatives such as the Project on Creativity and the 25 for 25 Grant Program, AOL looks to take parallel steps in ensuring America’s creative present and future.
