The Project on Creativity launched on May 24, 2010 to celebrate AOL's 25th Anniversary. In commemoration, we have partnered with American Artist, Chuck Close, to capture and celebrate some of our loyal AOL users - AOL Originals

The Project on Creativity also inspired our 25 for 25 AOL Grant Program. We awarded 25, twenty-five thousand dollar grants to tomorrow's groundbreakers and visionaries - the next generation of culture shapers and influencers.

Originality isn’t easy.

Invention invites risk and skepticism. Maybe that’s why so few dare to be first, and why it feels good to applaud those who are.

We have partnered with artist Chuck Close to celebrate our loyal AOL users who have helped shape the world, define our culture, and have been part of our last 25 years.

As we embark on our next 25, we will continue to champion technologies that amplify the original voice in each of us, and give pioneers everywhere a global platform for expression.
